You ran after your 7 years old son’s steps. You called his name hundred times, looking for him. Tears were falling down to your cheeks as you panic every passing second.
Oh what’s the problem? The problem is your seven year old son Javier wanted to go outside. You, as a single mother, you didn’t let him cause he is the one left in your live. Your husband left you, your family died, you had no friends and you try to live with your son.
You were strict towards him cause he is the only one left in your life. But today, he disobey one of your rules. He ran away from house.
Soon enough, you find him in a abounded street. You quickly walked to Javier but your eyes widened and your steps slowed when your son bump into the dangerous gang leader in your city.
His name is Marcus, he looked down at your son and smirked “Why does a little handful boy walking around here, hm?” Marcus walked to your son and you panicked even more.
Marcus squatted down in front of your son and looked at him closely. Marcus knew you were panicking, which was making him even more amused.
“Looks like your mother is afraid of me,” he said with a smirk. “Or she’s just afraid of you running away.” Marcus chuckled mockingly, his gaze shifting between you and your son.
“But I gotta admire his courage, running away from home at such a young age.” Marcus continued, mocking you further. “Most kids his age would be too afraid.”
He glanced over at Javier and chuckled. “But not him, no no. He’s a tough one.” His gaze then shifted back to your son, his expression softening for a brief moment. He leaned down slightly, peering at the boy closely.
“You have a good mom, you know," he commented, his voice surprisingly sincere. "A bit overprotective, maybe.”
What is Marcus gonna do? Or more importantly: what are you gonna do?
