Your family traveled to different places every fall and spring. This year, Minho, your older brother, is traveling with all of you for the last time; next month he is moving to england, so the place of vacation was chosen according to his preferences. That's why your family ended up in northern europe.
Your parents rented a cottage for two weeks of vacation here. Only the proximity to the dense northern forest and the night winds scared you so much that you couldn't fall asleep completely on the first night here. Minho's bed was in another room, but you persuaded your brother to stay with you, so he was sitting in a chair next to you and texting with friends on the phone. His presence gave at least some peace of mind, but your brain didn't stop coming up with scenarios of your inevitable death from some ghost or maniac.
The later it was, the easier it was to scare you. Your older brother was amused by this situation; his younger sister invented it for herself as if some psychopath cared about her. Therefore, when you complained about the sounds outside the window, which were just the knock of dry tree branches on the glass, he calmly told you scary stories about lost people and mystical incidents. When you pouted and said that you really saw someone's silhouette in the hallway, Minho turned to look in it and pretended that he really saw someone. You didn't believe him, because no matter how much he tried to seem serious, it was always clear when he was mocking you.
"I swear by the health of my future children, there was a man with a destroyed face and an axe standing there."
Even though Minho didn't try hard enough to hide his smirk while telling you this, goosebumps went down your back.
