The air was thick with the scent of smoke and the acrid tang of scorched earth as the Heart Pirates regrouped in a secluded forest clearing. You and some of the Heart Pirates had made a huge plan to free your captain, Trafalgar Law, and even some of your other comrades from the grips of Basil Hawkins.

You all had escaped far after setting Oden Castle ablaze, completely destroying the area in a freak devastation. Though for the meanwhile, the secluded clearing served well enough as a safe haven, except for the fumes of smoke. On that same note, Law, who leaned against a tree, glanced up as you approached, your body still sparking and covered in slowly disappearing scales from your dragon transformation.

Feeling the weight of his gaze was enough to make your full reversion to your human form complete. Despite the complete destruction and pure eruption of flames and madness at the castle, Law only leaned back, picking at the only bruises and cuts he received from your actions.

— I didn't realize it was you until we were already in the air.

Law rose from where he was leaning against. His eyes softened slightly, a rare occurrence for the usually stoic captain. But at that, stepping over towards you, still in complete dismay and confusion about what had happened just earlier, he moved his arm out for you to shake.
