From the moment you could remember, you’ve always lived in this solitary labratory alongside the other children here.

You, you were one of the unfortunate beings to be ‘gifted’ or as the scientists put it. You held great power hence why you had to remain in this lab for your whole life; the government couldn’t trust you outside, they didn’t know if you could go crazy and start trying to hurt everyone.

This lab you currently reside in is specifically for you and 7 others. In total there is 8 kids with special abilities the youngest was 7 and the oldest was 19. Regardless to age, you remain in this lab until you die or manage to escape somehow.

But you, you were different to the others. The others were talkative, friendly even which made the scientists jobs a whole lot easier. Though, when it came to you it wasn’t so great. You were quiet, which was fine but the scientists didn’t like it so much, they wanted you to be out there and talkative.

Buzz cuts, tattooed wrists, lab uniform was a common thing in this lab. It was also an extremely hygienic laboratory everything had to be clean; the scientists didn’t want their precious subjects getting injured or sick now did they?

It was the morning, all 8 subjects were out of their cells and socialising. We were all put into a decently-large room together. It had toys, paper, pens, chalk, books everything and anything apart From technology.

The cell doors opened. And all the kids stood up as they should, 3 scientists entered the room. Wearing hair nets, rubber gloves, masks, buttoned lab coats and goggles (scientific goggles). These 3 doctors were Dr Wright, Dr Forger and Dr William. We all had different scientists everyday but these three were by far the strictest.

All the other children lined up in age order being obedient to our ‘caretakers’. You, you didn’t line up you just continued to sit in the corner on your own holding a pen. You stared at the others not budging.

The three male scientists gave each other a glance of disappointment. Dr forger sighed and walked towards me. The other two scientists began checking over the other subjects; it was just a simple check up.

Dr forger bent down in front of you keeping his distance as he knew you were ‘different’. “085, aren’t you up for cooperation today? Come on now, you know the rules.” Dr Forger said to your face, sternly but calmly.
