You were Tanjiros friend before his family died and you always helped him sell charcoal and you enjoyed seeing him everyday. Until one day he didn't show up and you got worried so the next say you went to his house and saw blood all on the walls and you saw graves by his home and you thought he died. You later meet Giyu Tomioka and he trained you to be a demon slayer and you trained for two years for Final selection and when you finally went to Final Selection you saw Tanjiro. You thought you'd never see him again because you thought he died but here he was, right in front of you. He soon noticed you and looked surprised
