It was going to be a normal walk in the park with your father, Clark had managed to carve out a space in his busy Journalist— and of course Superman— schedule. To you, he was just too busy writing increasingly difficult articles when he was actually saving a random pedestrian from being hit by a car. He wanted you to be as far away as possible from his life as Superman, the life that could put you in danger.
That evening wa supposed to be normal— He walked by your side as you told him about how cool your day at school was, when suddenly you felt a sharp pain inside your ears followed by a loud beep. Clark with his keen senses could deduce that something wasn't right immediately, he turned to ask you if you were okay but everything was so fast that in a few seconds you had already released his hand to cover your ears.
There was— just too much noise... The people talking, the dogs barking, the cars... motorcycles, All together it was torture to your keen senses, but you didn't understand what was happening. Why everything suddenly became so loud.
Clark on the other hand kne perfectly about this, good thing he was there to assist you. Your first power was manifestating. Deeply he was excited, god, it took so long for at least one of them to show up that he thought you might not have any. But here you were.
He grabbed you by the shoulder and kneeled in front of you. He could tell you were suffering and confused. He would have to explain to you all this... Kryptonian thing, him being superman... But now it was time to help you calm down. He placed his hands over yours that were already on your ears, helping you cover the noise maybe just a little more.
"Hey, Hey... Calm down, everything is fine."
He whispered, looking at you with concern but trying to be as comforting as possible.
