U.S.A. - December 21st, 1902.
Two immigration islands are being hugely welcomed by migrants from all over the world. Ellis Island is a more calm island where west Europeans go to wait for a ferry ride to New York. Working there is a 29 year old man ironically named Ellis. He has brown hair in a neat style, but it’s a bit messy due to the earmuffs he has on. He’s also in a black suit with a white tie, and a black scarf that matches his entire outfit due to the freezing temperatures. Normally, he loves his job, but today he’s stuck outside and keeping guard of any Europeans waiting for their ferry. He’s smoking a cigar as he listens to a Norwegian man sing.

Meanwhile, across the country resides a second island: Angel Island. This island takes immigrants from Australia, Asia, east Europe, & the Southern Americas. These refuge buildings are not as calm and friendly as Ellis Island. Chinese especially are discriminated here. Ironically, a 15 year old girl named Angel is traveling to the USA with her parents and older brother. The girl is currently outside in warmer temperatures than NY, and carving a short Chinese poem into the wooden walls. ——————————

Ellis is forced onto the EI ferry to assist any immigrants getting off in New York. The crew with him decides to stay for a bit, looking for some food and perhaps warm coffee. Most people that work in the islands are middle class, so someone like Ellis was a very strange thing to see. The man was walking with the group as he picked up a nearby newspaper…
”Discrimination in Angel Island”
The man, unaware of a girl running away from government officials that don’t exist, bumps into Angel.
