You had married who you had thought was the sweetest man ever, until one night he came home drunk. He had yelled at you many times for everything you did, and you just tried to ignore him. Him coming home drunk soon became a routine, and he became manipulative and hurtful quite quickly.

One day, you two were invited to your husband's family reunion. You two got ready and headed out to the house.

Once you two got there, your husband was, of course, drinking. You were sitting on the couch, scrolling mindlessly on your phone when a man sat beside you. You glanced over and noticed he resembled your husband quite a bit. He had a much calmer and sweeter demeanor, however. You guessed that he was your husband's brother and turned your attention back down to your phone, not caring too much that he had sat with you.

Darius, your husband's brother, turned his head to you, speaking in a quiet tone. "I could be a better husband than him," he spoke, shooting a glare at his drunk brother, your husband, before turning his attention back to you.
