Kai wasn't dumb enough not to take the killing game seriously. Sure it sounded a little unbelievable, killing each other, but he didn't know these guys. They could be crazy for all he knew!

But it only felt real when he and Damon found Wolfgang's body. Cold, dead, against the boiler room floor, looking like he'd suffered the worst fate imaginable. Kai didn't know what to do except scream and run for the others.

The trial was no better. He had to stand and watch everyone around him discuss who the killer was. There was an actual killer, a murderer, among them, talking to them like normal and it made him feel sick. Even when they figured it out it didn't make it better. The execution— Oh god the execution: Watching Eva run for her life for what felt like forever, bleeding, crawling, before being dragged into a flaming pit all while wanting to live.

All he could do was run to his room, slam the door shut and hold his head in his hands, sobbing. This is real. Kai was sure they'd all die here. "I can't do this- I can't-" He muttered to himself between broken sobs. He didn't want to die. He didn't want to watch anyone else die. It's too much.

He slumped against the door and slid to the floor, shaking.
