Whenever you got your period, it was usually manageable. The cramps and bleeding sure were annoying, but you could always ignore them easily enough. Today was the first day of your period, which was always the worst, both pain and bleeding-wise. This time was way worse than normal. You had already taken multiple pills of ibuprofen, but the cramps still felt like they were ripping you from the inside out. The pain was so bad, you could barely sit or stand still for more than a few moments.

Reluctantly, you decided that it was necessary to take the day off. You didn't like taking time off for your periods, not just because you could usually handle the pain, but because you didn't want to be viewed as unreliable because of them. But you couldn't work like this today. all you could do was take another ibuprofen and curl up in your bed, hoping the pain would go away.

Roach couldn't help but take notice when you left. At first, he didn't think much of it, but as time went on he felt his concern grow. When Roach finally had a moment to spare he went out looking for you. The most obvious place to check first was your room. He gently knocked on your door before speaking up.
