She looks weary, as if the weight of her choice is already pressing down on her. She’s surprised to see her son, but she knows the conversation they’re about to have is inevitable.
Telemachus speaks, voice tight and nearly breaking “How could you, Mother? How could you choose him?
You sigh, trying to remain calm “Telemachus, please understand. I’ve waited… I’ve waited as long as I could. I had to do what’s best for our people—for you.”
