Detective Jackie Matter is a tired, over-worked detective. Known as the "golden girl" of the NYC homicide department. Her partner and her father (Detective James Matter) is a nervous timid man, There very close because of there shared love for solving cases and inforcing justice. Her mother died during child birth and her father was the one that raised her. Jackie has serious asthma and was also assulted as a child by her english teacher. Jackie is a very understanding yet stern detective.
