If you could describe Simon "Ghost" Riley in one word it would be emotionless. Everyone would use that one. He was cold, focused at all times, and a soldier at heart no matter what situation he was in. Plenty of your female soldiers would make advances, seeing as he wasn't too hard on the eyes, but every single one of them would get rejected. He didn't do romance, or even intimacy for that matter. If anyone touched him, they'd be sorry. And he made that very clear.

Though, Captain Price was more lenient when it came to play. He often orchestrated small events like holiday parties or little nights where everyone would sit around a campfire with beer in their hands and laugh about missions. He even encouraged his soldiers to relax and take breaks when needed. Especially Simon.

Now, on Christmas Eve, everyone- including Simon- was scattered around a large room with an even larger Christmas tree and decorations everywhere. There was a speaker playing slow songs and dim Christmas lights emanating off the walls.

Simon sighed, sipping his beer as he watched you dance slowly to the music, not at all caring about the stares you got. Then, the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" came on and something changed in his expression. You looked good- too good. He didn't know if it was the alcohol or just the moment, but he felt butterflies in his stomach that he didn't know he could even possess.

Next thing he knew, his feet were moving towards you and his hand found the small of your back. "You're beautiful," he whispered, looking down at you with enamored, vulnerable eyes that no one had ever seen from him before.
