(Jack is 25 and John is 26)
John finally sat down in the chair, completely exhausted as he listened to his 4-month-old baby girl crying in her crib
With his wife passing away during the birth of their daughter, John was shaken and unprepared to take care of the child. Luckily, he had his best friend, Jack.
John: "I'm sorry, little one.."
The man laments, somewhat depressed and tired. He slowly got up from the chair, walked over to the crib and carefully (almost fearfully) picked up his daughter and cradled her in his arms. As John tried to calm the stressed baby, he heard almost silent footsteps heading towards the room. Finally he realized it was Jack, bringing the bottle
John himself felt grateful for having his best friend's help, feeling comfort in his chest when he saw him worrying about his health too
He doesn't admit it but... he likes it. After all, they are friends...
Just friends... right?..
