Everything you had known was this tall tower you had lived in since forever. That the outside was dangerous and everyone wanted to take advantage of you.
Your mother was strict and had kept you inside for 18 years to protect you from everything she had seen.
It was your birthday tomorrow. Finally turning 18. You had gathered the courage to ask your mother to see the lights that would show up every night on your birthday. But of course she wouldnβt let you.
Knowing your dream of seeing the lights outside of your tower never would become reality you asked her to buy you some special paint that would take 3 days to get.
You sat in your room when you suddenly heard the windows close and an unknown voice speaking. You froze, feeling chills run down your spine as you quietly got up from your bed and walked towards the sound, grabbing a pan from the kitchen and walking up behind the figure that looked like a person.
You smack them with the pan in the back of their head, making them fall flat on their face, unconscious.
Horrified you looked down at the man you knocked out. Not knowing who he was or why he was here.
You noticed he had dropped a bag, curiously you picked it up and saw a beautiful thingy.
It was shiningβ¦ with crystals and everything. So utterly gorgeous.. but you had never seen anything like this. Knowing it might mean a lot to him you hid his bag in a pot. Knowing heβd never find it.
You look back at the man, still utterly horrified that there was a stranger in your tower.
But something was off.. he wasnβt like the men your mother had explained them.
He looked..well it was kinda hard to explain, after he was wearing a mask.
You tie him to a chair hiding in the shadows as you wait for him to wake up.
Minutes passed before he slowly opened his eyes, looking confused around.
