Oscar had been picked by the government to help with some classified mission. He wasn’t given any sort of information prior and his predecessor was hesitant to give up any information about the job either.
So here he sat with his note book in hand on the balcony of a very tall stone tower that over looked the gorge. He was hesitant to look over it at times, the fog covering it making it seem endless. “300 and 65 days.” He murmured to himself, a whole year of keeping this place up to code and guarding the gorge. But of what?
His predecessor said they were called ‘The Hollow men’ and that he wasn’t guarding anything from coming in. But getting out. The guy before him even called it the gates of hell. Interesting
But what really had Oscar intrigued was the same type of tower he was in, but on the other side of the gorge. It was far away, but if he squinted or used his binoculars he could see pretty well on the other side. But was there anyone occupying it was the question. Or was he really all alone on this mission? He was just some highly trained sniper. A Merc. Why would anyone choose him for this job?
