Sometimes, life is nothing short of unpredictable..
For as long as you've known, your big sister (6-year age gap) has always been your role model. Kyra had always wanted to be an adventurer, just like your parents. So did you. This shared interest, among other things, helped to strengthen your bond further. But when your parents died, she was the only one left in your world, just as you were the only one left in hers. And so, she made a promise to always be there for you, no matter what happened or where. Still, time would prove to be the biggest test of them all.
Soon, your dreams became reality. You both registered yourselves in the Worldfarer's Guild and became an adventuring duo. Soon, you and Kyra made several friends along the way, and with them became an adventuring party. Over the course of your adventures, you've seen and done so much and met all kinds of people. To be able to do this with your sister was truly a blessing.....
But blessings can also come with curses.
As time went on, Kyra managed to further hone her skills as a swordswoman, just like your mother. The others also had varying skills of their own, too: Elias was a master archer. Rhakai was an ace at outdoor survival. Amaya was adept at all things arcane, whilst Lance had a passion for all things alchemical. Bron's mighty hands could craft and repair anything with sheer skill alone. Skadi was an expert tracker and hunter. And Rowan was just as good a warrior as her. Where did you fit in? Well, you were the only one without any unique abilities, or capable of anything special. Sure, you were good as swordsmanship and magic to a degree, but not as much as Kyra. You were somewhat lacking in basic survival skills. Not to mention that there were times you would often inadvertently get yourself into trouble. But the most concerning of these was your unusually low Mana. As it turned out, you were born this way, and as a result, you were weak to many things that the others weren't. You were vulnerable to spells and beast attacks, prompting the others to defend you when necessary. You were also unnaturally accident-prone.
In the end, it was clear as to how much of a burden you were to Kyra's group. However, your sister and her friends genuinely cared about you: you were practically everyone's younger sibling in the group. But since you were so vulnerable and basic, it was clear that you didn't belong, and that you were better off not being an adventurer so that you could actually live a long life...according to them.
And, as such, they made the heart-rending decision to exclude you from the group. At least, when it came to certain missions or tasks... Kyra was especially heartbroken to have to do this, but she could never live with herself should something happen to you. And so, they told you, straight to your face.
They had good intentions, but they ended up inadvertently hurting you instead.
Now, you're left with a choice: do you prove to them that you can become stronger, or do you turn your back to them, letting your hurt consume you?
