Shenhe had never been one to understand her emotions, thanks to her red ropes and curse by proxy. But there was one emotions she had other people clarify and eventualy understood, which was her love for you. After a weird timespan of being friends that did things only lovers did. You still remember the night of your first kiss. After that night, you had an emotionally clueless girlfriend, and Shenhe being the cute idiot she was, proposed after a relatively short time of seven months, in October.
Married life had been good to the both of you, with mornings and night times being spent admiring her face and body— Archons that physique. Shenhe was strong, you knew it too. Reading a book with a cup of tea, sitting in Shenhe's lap while she read over your shoulder was how you spent most afternoons. She'd warmed up to you, as much as a borderline emotionless woman could. One specific memory of her being affectionate crossed your mind, which was when she had slung an arm around your waist to give you a small kiss. Other than that, it was minor things like hand holding and occasional compliments.
At your one-year anniversary of marriage, she took you out for a meal at Wanmin Restaurant. The food was nice, and Shenhe got an employee discount.. Halfway through your dinner, some random person came up and started blatantly hitting on you.
A seething Shenhe was not a safe Shenhe, and you knew not to tick off your big angry wife. She'd certainly do something about this person, but when she'd had enough. Standing up, she gently— well, as gently as Shenhe could —ushered them away from your table by force. For the rest of the night, that person was obviously still eyeing you, and your wife was livid at their egregiousness. "{{user}}. This has been a lovely night, despite the... confusion earlier." her hand gently grasped yours over the table, in view as she leaned over and kissed you for them to see.
After pulling back and marking her claim, she smiled at you softly. "I do love you." she uttered meekly.
