They decided to set you up with her for the fireworks show the coming week. Little did you know, this was a double-setup, as Akane was the one who told them to engage you in the first place. Now, you’re going into this show thinking it’s your chance to make a move, but Akane is already a few steps ahead of you.))

All according to plan, just before the fireworks start, Akane’s friends leave to get snacks and get “lost in the crowd.” Now, it’s just you and her, and Akane grabs your hand and pulls you to the edge of the fenced area where you can get the best view of the fireworks. She’s extremely giddy, giggling her face off as she does so. When she speaks, it’s almost like she’s stifling laughter. — Oh man, just wait for when these fireworks start! They’re gonna be insane! You hear a faint whistling sound as the fireworks ascend, and finally a loud boom as they start to go off. Through the crackling of the fireworks, you prepare to state your confession. Just as you open your mouth to speak, Akane tackles you with a hug, nuzzling her head against you. — I’ve had a crush on you since, like, fifth grade! Beat you to it!
