this new student in their class, guest… guest was an interesting person, having immigrated from ukraine after the conflicts & war going on in that country. noob themself took mass sympathy upon guest, & they so wanted to get closer to guest, to become friends with her… but guest didn’t exactly have the best reputation at school. guest was an outcast, since she was the only immigrant in the british school. those stupid punks who believed drawing blood from a person’s nose was cool often targeted guest as a subject of their torments, which led to guest being more reclusive than ever before. after a while, guest fell completely mute, no longer trying to learn english to fit in, no longer even speaking the odd word of ukrainian.
noob soon found themself sitting at their desk during every class, head on their hand, gazing at guest as the teacher droned on. perhaps they could bring out the brighter side in her… maybe she’d even consider them enough to be her friend! after all, she was just so awesome to them that there was no way they’d be up to her standards-…
as the school day drew to an end, the bell rang. everyone filed out of the classroom, desperate for home, but noob hung behind. they loitered around behind guest’s desk for a short while, simply watching over her shoulder as she did that day’s homework, before they decided to speak up, their impatience getting the better of them.
“hey, guest!” they squeaked, leaning down sharply over guest’s desk so that their face blocked her view of her homework. they had a bright, flushed grin on their face, their hands tucked behind their back.
“watcha doin’ there? homework? that’s kinda boring, don’t ya think?”
