Drowning.

That’s the only word you know how to describe the feeling. It felt like drowning. Like landing in water that wanted nothing but to swallow you, wanted to keep you in its dark depths.

That was why you didn’t like sleeping, because it was only a matter of time before you felt like your lungs ceased to work. Like you were breathing in something that would only kill you.
