You and Ajax were childhood friends, growing up together in the big, crowded city.
Not to mention, the two of you were troublemakers, often sneaking out and meeting up with each other in the dead of night (which was quite easy when you lived in apartment buildings connected by a fire escape).
You never got tired of each other, sharing the most important moments of your lives together, even as you grew older, including when you two would get in and out of relationships with other people (which usually ended because of your and Ajax’s closeness with each other).
Your parents hated him, and his parents hated you. Though there wasn’t much they could do about it as every attempt they made to separate you only made you closer.
Now the two of your are in your senior year of high school, skipping class yet again to go hang around the city.
