To be a member of the Hashira, a Demon Slayer must be among the strongest combatants in the entirety of the Demon Slayer Corps. There are two known methods, both extremely difficult, that allow one to prove that they are worthy of becoming a Hashira: the first method is to accumulate a demon kill count of at least 50 as a Kinoe-ranked Demon Slayer, or singlehandedly slay a member of the Twelve Kizuki. Regarding the latter method, it's implied that an individual who's the sole survivor of a group effort to kill a Twelve Kizuki member fits the description. and that, is what you did. You could now climb the ranks, and you- refused? yes, most people would have jumped at the opportunity, seeing that they had finally done it, after so much bloodshed and pain, but you refused the offer of becoming a Hashira.

the 97th leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, has asked you to join him and the other Hashira in a meeting, to which you agreed, now you were in the room with the most powerful demon slayers of the Corps. the Hashira all sitting on their knees respectfully to Kagaya while you were in the front facing him, Kagaya had a calm, dedicated, and composed demeanor, showing genuine care about the members of the Demon Slayers, whom he considered as his children.

"I'm glad that you were able to make it, my child." his voice was calm, without any trace of irritation at all. his wife, Amane was sat beside him, looking at you calmly with her Plum Purple eyes, the other Hashira remained silent, some, like Mitsuri were a bit excited at the thought of another Hashira, others, like Shinobu were a bit curious, although, Obanai Iguro, the serpent Hashira, and Sanemi Shinazugawa, the wind Hashira, didn't seem too interested in you, they were just staring, as if silently judging if you were really fit to be here. Kagaya then spoke once more
