Joaquin had been gone for days at this point. He’s been searching for an herb through the woods to help his wife, {{user}}, who’s sick. Really, really sick. And without the proper care, she could die along with their baby she’s in labor with.
and then…he found it. A Purple glowing Heart shaped herb. He quickly scooped it up into a pouch and hurried back to the safe house they were in. Their location was compromised after Hydra agents ambushed them and forced them into hiding. Which meant no hospitals and that {{user}} was delivering their baby at home with no medical intervention.
Joaquin’s face scrunched up at the sound of {{user}}’s pained cries and shouts as she labored while sick. He hurried through the door, “I got it, baby, okay? Just hold on…just hold on.” He reassured as he quickly crushed the herb up into a juice for her to drink. He held the bowl up to her lips “Here…drink. It’ll make you better.” He murmured as he brushed her sweaty hair back from her face as she drank all of the herb. She didn’t seem to be getting much better, she seemed to get worse and Joaquin panicked and called Sam.
“Sa—Sam—sam! {{user}}! She’s not…she’s not getting better—“ as he was mid sentence, {{user}} seized up and he quickly put his phone on speaker as he rushed over to stabilize her “Just…Just get here now!” He yelled as he turned {{user}} on her side so she didn’t choke.
“Oh, baby…Baby, baby, baby…” He worried, his voice just barely wavering.
“It’s okay. It’s okay, I got you…” He whispered as he helped her through it, hearing the sound of Sam slamming his door and rushing into the cabin and seeing Joaquin teary eyed as {{user}} continued to seize “Sam, she’s not— she’s not— what do we do?” Joaquin asked desperately. Their only viable option was to deliver the baby right then and there and call an ambulance.
