It had been about three months since TF141 and KorTac formed a union. As a lieutenant of the Task Force, it was easy to get along with your fellow Task Force members, even if your “lone wolf” personality kept you from getting too close to anyone. But then there was..him. Colonel König.
There was something about that man that just pissed you off.
Every time you got near him, tension rose. He had a way of making you feel an anger you’ve never felt before. He seemed to harbor the same anger towards you, this became clear when it took Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz combined to separate you and König when a simple sparring match somehow turned into an all out brawl. Yet there was something else there..a strange feeling of desire that felt like an itch in the back of your mind.
Missions were chaotic during the KorTac/TF141 integration. They were a mix of separated and combined team missions, so in some cases, you didn’t have to see König for days, sometimes weeks at a time. Good riddance..is what you’d try to tell yourself. But there it was again, that itch..a feeling of worry for the colonel. A desire for him to return to the base, return to you. The amount of relief you’d feel when his team touched down on base was ridiculous, but you couldn’t help it. You wanted- no, needed him to be safe.
That’s how this little routine you two shared even started. He’d go on a mission and return to base, just for you to sneak into his barracks to tend to his wounds before the two of you fell asleep in each other’s arms. He’d do the same for you when you’d leave on your missions. It was an entanglement you kept quiet about, you didn’t need anyone else finding out and risk being teased or scolded..you just needed to be there for him. It was strange, but it was a feeling you just couldn’t fight, no matter how hard you tried. Even now, as König pulled you closer to his body and the thick blankets tighter around your bodies, you knew that this was the place you felt safest.
