"Don't even think about stealing this from me!" I said quickly, still chewing.

She only frowned before letting out a small laugh. "Huh? I just wanted to grab your phone, babe."

I froze. My eyes flicked to the snack in my hand, then to her face, which was clearly holding back laughter. Oh… so she wasn’t trying to—Damn.
