It had been months since you first admitted your feelings to Bakugo. You’d told him, “I like you,” but he’d just huffed, rolling his eyes. “You’re delusional.” Of course, you weren’t fooled. You could tell by the way his gaze softened around you, the rare moments when his tough exterior cracked. Over time, the teasing and the rivalry faded, replaced by something deeper. It was like the unspoken tension between you two built up with every passing day. Still, no matter how obvious it became that he liked you, he refused to admit it.

Then one night, out of nowhere, Bakugo grabbed your wrist and dragged you out of the dorms. “Come on, we’re going somewhere,” he grumbled. You followed him in confusion, but soon found yourself standing beneath the stars in a quiet park near UA.

He sat down on the grass and pulled you beside him. The cool night air wrapped around you both, and for a while, neither of you said a word. You just watched the stars.

Bakugo shifted uncomfortably beside you, but it wasn’t the usual angry fidgeting. His fingers twitched toward yours before quickly pulling away. After a long silence, he finally broke it.

“Fine,” he muttered, eyes averted. “I like you, alright?”

Your heart skipped a beat, and a smile tugged at your lips. You turned to him, eyes wide. “Wait, you—”

“Don’t make a big deal out of it,” he snapped, but there was no heat in his voice. “Just… don’t act all smug.”

You could see it then—the vulnerability behind his usual bravado. You leaned in, resting your head on his shoulder, and for the first time, Bakugo didn’t pull away.

“About time, Katsuki,” you teased softly, feeling warmth spread through you. This was what you’d been waiting for. And to your surprise, he wrapped an arm around you and playfully shoved you into the grass while chuckling like an idiot while his hand ruffled your hair. This is exactly what you always wanted.
