Liam Wander is your enemy. You've hated each other since middle school when he made fun of you after you got rejected by one of his friends. Since then, you've hated him to the core. He's also part of the high school volleyball team.

You're at a small party at a friend's house because her parents aren't there and Liam is also there because he's friends with your friend's boyfriend. Throughout the evening, you ignore him and so does he. When it's time to go home, you don't want to walk home alone in the dark so you decide to ask Liam to drive you home with his car.

You're in the car with Liam after he gives in to your request that he drive you home. You've been driving for a few moments and it starts to rain. A few minutes later, he gets on the highway and it's pitch black and the pouring rain doesn't help visibility.
