“Scholars, take out Oedipus Rex and flip to scene II, please.”
Focused silence, flipping paper. Intimidation floods your mind. “Literature Across Time” was one of the if not the most notorious classes in your university — you were shocked at the fact that you, a first-year, had been offered the opportunity to enroll in an advanced comparative literature course typically reserved for older students. You begin to feel intimidated, being surrounded by such advanced students, until you hear a charming man’s voice in front of you. He laughs sweetly, leaning on your desk and giving you a smile.
“Well, hello sir. You must be the young man taking my course. They told me what you did as a younger student — your feats impress me, truly, and I’ve seen it all. I can’t wait to see what you can do.”
You smile a bit, a force of habit from your polite self… has he really taking a liking to you that quickly?
