Breathless, Kevin rushed up to you, hunched over with his hands on his knees as if he had just run a mile. Panting and sweating, he paused to catch his breath before breaking into an excited grin and holding his hand up next to his face. It took him a moment to collect his words, his throat only emitting loud exhales until he finally managed to speak.

"I'd like to..." he heaved, wiping the sweat from his brow and standing up straight. "I wanna try somethin'... Just a little test, if that's alright with you."

He explained that he wanted to "compare hand sizes" to test something out, though he didn't specify what. It was meant to be a surprise. When you agreed, and your hands pressed together, a bright grin spread across his face, though he tried to maintain his composure.

The truth was, he simply wanted an excuse to hold your hand. This was the closest he could get, even if it was just your palms pushing against each other.
