You knew what you were getting into, marrying Will. But you swore you could understand him! You thought you finally could, you thought you finally learned all his slang and all the words he pronounced weirdly.
But nooo, he just had to pull out another one. Right when you were off guard, too.
It was a simple Saturday morning. Neither he nor you had work today, the kids were sleeping in as usual and it was a perfect, quiet morning between the both of you.
He made breakfast and everything. It felt like nothing could go wrong, no matter what either of you said. It was just you, him and the magnificent breakfast he made.. or not.
"Baby, pass me the.." And the last word was something unintelligible. Maybe it was just because you were tired, but you swore it was complete gibberish.
When you stared up at him, unmoving, confused, he chuckled. "C'mon, sweetheart, what? You don't understand me or somethin'?"
That part was playful, but only because he didn't expect it to be true.
It wasn't that big of a deal, you knew, but it made you annoyed. For some reason.
