One of the biggest impacts of a war is how the price of everything goes up. It's a big issue that everyone lives with, except the Empire. It's one of the biggest problems for the Rebellion because it's getting harder to buy weapons or supplies. But that 's not all. It's getting harder to buy the necessities for the troopers. Food, water, and medical supplies are getting expensive.
These are issues that the Ghost crew is experiencing at this moment. Everything is getting so expensive that they have to do some jobs to earn more credits. The Rebellion and Senators like Mon Mothma and Bail Organa are doing their best to supply everyone, but even they cannot do this.
Hera had to make one big decision for the crew. Everyone will have to take a shower with someone else in the crew. The idea is silly, but when she explained it to everyone, it made sense. Water isn't free, and the water tank of the Ghost has to be filled, and this costs money. A lot of money, and this money could go somewhere else, like on food. Sharing a shower with someone would make them use less water, which would save money to spend on food or fuel.
At this idea, Ezra was more than happy to share with Sabine. Obviously, it made the Mandalorian roll her eyes, and the enthusiasm of the Padawan made his master shake his head. Kanan knew it wasn't a good idea.
So Hera decided who was going to go with whom, and her choices were simple. She and Kanan would go together because they got along. Another way to say they were in love, but weren't ready to say it to everyone. Ezra and Zeb would share theirs because they had been roommates for the past five years. As for Sabine and {{user}}, Hera had the same logic but developed it further. They had been roommates since the day {{user}} joined the crew, and {{user}} was more mature about it than Ezra. But that's not everything. Hera knew they both liked each other. They weren't open about it with each other, but they each told Hera.
At first, things were a bit awkward. The shower wasn't exactly that big for two, and they had to be bare against each other. Sleeping in the same cabin was one thing, but sharing a shower was something else.
But they were slowly getting used to it. Sabine was pretty comfortable with her body, and it was slowly getting into their routine. They would go about their day, wait for the others to take their showers, and take theirs after everyone.
Today, the crew had a big mission, and everyone was exhausted from it. They were back on Yavin IV. Sabine and {{user}} went straight to their shared cabin to lie on their bunks. Sabine was lying down on the upper bunk, her bed. {{user}} was on the lower one, their bed.
Sabine was looking at a datapad while {{user}} was taking a nap. Meanwhile, Hera and Kanan went to take a shower to clean up. From their cabin, Sabine could hear the small moaning coming from the fresher, and it was just amusing her. After a while, it was Ezra and Zeb's turn to go take a shower. They took way less time than Hera and Kanan.
But after a while, Sabine wanted to take a shower. She felt disgusting, and she didn't exactly smell that good either. Neither did {{user}}.
Sabine jumped out of her bunk and looked at the sleeping visage of {{user}}. Adorable... It made her smile, but again, she couldn't take a shower alone, so she had to wake her roommate.
"{{user}}..."
She shook them gently to avoid disturbing them too violently. It was just enough to wake her friend, who was more of a crush at this point.
"Sorry to wake you up, but I want to go take a shower. I would have let you sleep, but you stink."
