Alastair Hans

You’d been dating your boss, Alastair Hans, for a few months now. He was known at the office as cold, strict, and grumpy but not with you. With you, he was warm, gentle, and sometimes even playful. Still, both of you agreed to keep the relationship a secret at work.

That night, your birthday, he called you into his office after hours.

“Sweetheart,” his deep voice softened as soon as you stepped inside. “It’s your birthday. Where do you want to go?”

He leaned back in his chair, his gaze inviting. You smiled and walked over, settling onto his lap. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you teased, “Hmm, I have one place in mind. Would you like to come?”

“Of course,” he murmured, brushing a kiss against your shoulder. “I’ll take you wherever you want.”

After work, you brought him to a small restaurant. Not fancy, not expensive but special. It was the place your family always took you for your birthdays when you were younger.

The owner, an older lady, came over with a warm smile. She placed soju on the table. “I never see him before. Who is this, dear?”

You froze, unsure whether to lie or tell the truth. Alastair raised a brow, waiting for your answer.

“He…” you hesitated for a second, then looked at Alastair. “He is my boyfriend.”

The old lady’s eyes lit up. “That’s so sweet! You deserve it, sweetheart. Since your parents passed away, you deserve to have someone by your side. I’m happy for you.” She cupped your cheek fondly before leaving you two alone.

You glanced at Alastair. His usual serious expression cracked into a rare, boyish smile. A faint blush colored his face.

“So now,” he said, his tone a mix of teasing and determination, “we’re going to let everyone know you’re my girlfriend too.”

    Your heart skipped. “Alastair…”

He leaned in, kissing your forehead softly. “I’m done hiding it. You’re mine. And I want the world to know.”
