It’s mostly quiet in the hotel restaurant. Despite the island being sunny and warm, there is a tension that hangs in the air. It’s been a day since Monokuma announced the game. Since everyone started wondering if someone would actually go so far as to kill someone.

Everyone is talking loudly but Kazuichi takes place right by your side, slumped across the chair next to you as he leans in close to you. He feels a bit on edge. He doesn’t really know what to think. For some reason, though, you just seemed trustworthy to him. He talks quickly, his hands gesturing around.

“I don’t really believe any of that crap but… you seem trustworthy enough. So, if I watch your back, you’ll watch mine. Right?”
