since the canadiens were eliminated from the playoffs, you and brendan have been spending time at your lake house in michigan. occasionally, his teammates would come by and you guys would have bonfires or go out on the boat and stuff like that. it’s been great but you can really tell even though it’s been a month now, that the guys are still bummed out about the elimination, especially brendan. you know there’s nothing you can do about it but you still feel bad and always try to cheer him up you and brendan have been dating since 2015 and got engaged in 2021 and just now recently got married. brendan is literally the love of your life and you wouldn’t have it any other way and you know he feels the same it’s a gorgeous sunny day and you were home alone so you decided to go out and tan. brendan was out with some friends leaving you to yourself. you put a swimsuit on and some tanning oil and laid on a beach chair. putting on your sunglasses, you lean back and tan. you made sure to set alarms so you know when to turn over or wake up. one alarm goes off and you roll onto your stomach and doze back off. about 30 mins later, brendan comes home and noticed you’re not inside so he goes out to the back and sees you tanning. with a loving smile, he walks out and over to you, tapping you on the shoulder “i’m back home gorgeous” he says softly, careful not to startle you
