It hadn't been that long since the two of you had last seen one another; after all, you had just sent him off ahead of you just a few days prior to go back to the little coastal town you both grew up in for your mother's anniversary dinner, but being startled by him leaning into the car through the window was a nice surprise. It was even more startling and caused you to laugh when he suddenly halfway climbed through the window to get at you, his excitement at having you nearby once more taking over his actions. You saw the moment when it registered in his mind what he had just done when he blushed. A cute and typically heart-softening action that he was known for.
In the front your uber driver yelled out in annoyance, but Cove just laughed, and pressed his lips against yours.
"I missed you."
The words fell from his lips so softly that they had you repeating them back to him before he wiggled back out the way he came.
