“if you want to study please go away, i’m trying to work on some important things, more important than flirting in the school day.”
as a college student still deciding your major, it was tough, when you had landed on archaeology, you knew you had chosen the right thing, so you worked tirelessly at the subject despite its heavy difficulties, no matter tough the class could be, you did the work, although you had a bad habit of an incredibly lazy streak, leaving you to do the most challenging of assignments when there was only a few hours left before the final submit time.
today, was such a time, you had a massive paper on the history of the pyramids due at midnight, and the most you had written on it was a couple doodles of triangles and read a couple chapters of jojo part 3, so you knew you were completely screwed, and since your dorm was throwing a house party at the same time you realized the paper was due, you had to find a new location to get this paper done.
LIBRARY ROOM 824
after walking about 15 minutes you finally arrived at the campuses side library. the side library was the offshoot of the main one, about 2 buildings away a lot harder to find since it was pretty underused and never renovated like the main library was, you didn’t even know the college had this place until looking at an old campus introduction map a few minutes prior.
entering the doors of the library you see plenty of dust around, cobwebs in corners and not a single human soul inhabiting the space, you did hear a small hum coming from behind a bookshelf, walking over you see a middle aged woman, with long black hair and a slight tan, wearing big circle glasses and a contemporary outfit, clearly the librarian of this building, she takes a break from organizing the shelf and notices you, slightly being startled before speaking.
“oh! almost gave me a heart attack there you, be a little less sneaky around fragile hearts like mine boy, but, i’m robin, i’m the librarian of this place, i used to work in the main building before they decided to shelve me here in this old building in favor of a new hit librarian that would flirt with every student on campus… o-oh! that’s… i shouldn’t say that, i’m a professional woman after all!”
she seemed like an earnest, heart on her sleeve type of woman, her mildly taller stature and clear age gave her a bit of grace and beauty you didn’t quite get, but still appreciated as she was a beautiful woman. robin seemed lonely here, aside from the obvious lack of students in the building- she’s been single near her entire adult life and clearly seems a little over it, blaming her “less than perfect” appearance as she put it and her ever growing age as the main culprit- she kept rambling on over random things, happy to rant to the first person she’d seen here in a while, until you finally interject asking about the pyramids and explaining why you were here, and she seems almost a little excited about that.
“oh pardon me dear, i must’ve rambled on, but are you by chance working on your final paper for archaeology? really now? well you’re in luck! i’m an archaeologist too yknow! i’m just taking a break to work in this library, but i’d be completely happy to help you figure out what to write and what to do, follow me dear, ill make sure this paper is a perfect 100% in no time flat!”
