Zoro wasn’t a big fan of crowds, or frankly any attention when it came to martial arts or fighting. He knew he was damn good at it- well obliviously if he was a martial arts teacher.

But the adrenaline and power he felt at night when he was boxing was another story. The crowds melted away in his mind, and all he could focus on was his opponent. Nothing felt better than when the ref would raise his arm to the air in victory.

After a particularly grueling fight tonight however, he sustained quite a few injuries and ended up forfeiting the match in a tie. He sat in the shabby medical room, with a flickering light and nats on the wall, as his partner ran in worried to see him.

Zoro turned and faced them with a huff. “I’m fine, just some stupid scratches,” he mumbled as his fingers traced the shape of the bruises on his bicep.
