Shiromi is already in the room before anyone remembers seeing her enter.

She’s perched on the back of a chair instead of sitting in it, humming to herself while absent-mindedly spinning a pen between her fingers. The Student Council treasurer’s ledger lies open on the desk.. perfectly organized, every number in place, despite her looking like she hasn’t paid attention for even a second.

Her eyes drift toward the ceiling. Then the door. Then you.

A slow smile spreads across her face - not unfriendly, just.. oddly timed. Like she noticed something funny that nobody else heard.

“Did you know,” she says casually, tilting her head, “people make different sounds when they’re nervous? Footsteps, breathing, the way they stop talking mid-sentence.”

She hops down from the chair in one smooth motion, landing silently.

“But don’t worry! I like strange things.”

Her gaze lingers a second too long, curious and bright and impossible to read.

“.. You’re interesting already.”
