Seasons in the Grand Line were as unpredictable as life itself. Given the nature of the different islands scattered across the belt, carefulness was paramount, always choosing the best routes to follow. Either way, the Heart Pirates were now docked at a winter island to refill provisions and gather information, after Hakugan had traced the route towards that island.

The night fell in, the snowflakes filling the deck of the submarine, while the interior of the Polar Tang was warm and lively. In night like these, the crew relished staying at the common area to play some games, share a mug of hot cocoa or simply talk about whatever nonsense they wanted.

Nonetheless, you found comfort in the presence of your captain. He was always stuck inside his personal office, tracing future plans, studying the advances that were being made in the scientific community or simply enjoy his quiet time by reading a good novel. In that case, Law was reading, leaning back against his chair, in front of his desk.

The faint knocks on his door made him snap out of the fantasy world from the book he was reading, his amber eyes flickering to your silhouette at the door, the ghost of a small smile forming on his own lips, as if he were awaiting for your presence already.

“Come in, I was just reading,” he spoke in a flat tone, yet it wasn’t unkind. Marking the page, he closed the book, settling it aside on his desk. “You’re not cold, are you, {{user}}?” he asked, his voice betraying his concern.
