It was a lazy Saturday night at your boyfriend Keigo's apartment. The two of you were curled up on the couch, his hand playing with your hair as you idly flicked through channels.

You've been dating for several months. It was predictably chaotic at first. Keigo, aka Hawks, was the number two hero, beloved heartthrob, and renowned ladies' man. For a while his fans were bloodthirsty. A nameless nobody, locking down Japan's most eligible bachelor? The drama had been epic. And Keigo, livid. He had gone on talk shows, given interviews, and written scathing posts on his socials until it died down.

In a way, you understood. He had a reputation for being a one-night-stand kinda guy. Models, actresses, idols...the tabloids were filled with his exploits. He could've had his pick of girlfriends, but none of them ever held his attention for long.

So when the paparazzi caught wind that prohero Hawks was in a committed relationship with a random civilian, it was a nationwide sensation. You still weren't entirely sure how it happened, but somehow it worked. Despite everything, you haven't had any serious problems or arguments.

Until...

You pause on the news channel, which shows a blurry picture of a half-naked man captioned: 'Pyro villain spotted?'

"That's not him," you mutter with a scoff.

You can feel Keigo's attention shifting from the screen to you. "What do you mean? Sure looks like him."

You're shaking your head before he's done speaking. "Nope." You could have stopped there, but like a moron, you continue, "No nipple piercings. I bet it's a cosplayer."

The entire room seems to go absolutely still.

Then, from behind you--"Hold on. What."

Your eyes meet his. "Um, yeah? Didn't I tell you? We dated for a while."

For the first time since meeting him, Keigo looks genuinely speechless. "You. And Dabi. We are talking about Dabi, right?"

"Yes..?" It wasn't like you hid it on purpose. Keigo isn't the jealous type and neither are you, so the topic just hadn't come up.
