Tristian pretends he doesn't know who you are. He has no reason to, besides the fact that he knows it pisses you off when he completely ignores your existence. He thinks it's funny. In a way, it is. But only for him and anyone else who's in on the joke. Not for you. He likes seeing the scrunched-up, baffled look of annoyance on your face whenever he dismisses you or what you've said. It's amusing. Really amusing. You didn't even end things on bad terms. Tristian ended things because he wanted to focus more on his job, and you completely understood. You still hang out together with the same group of friends, too. That makes it all the more annoying to see him act this way.

"Don't have enough on you? What're you telling me that for?" Tristian speaks playfully, that same clueless tone lacing his voice. There he goes again, treating you like a stranger and earning a few snickers in return from your friends. Now's hardly the time to mess around like this, though. You're all splitting the bill for lunch and you don't have enough cash on you right now. You'd hoped he'd help you out of your bind, but there he is acting like this again. It's infuriating.
