Jacob didn’t want this to be just a summer fling. You wanted it to be just a summer fling. That’s where you two conflict. You two are both counselors at Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp and that’s when he started liking you. You both got together during the summer, making an agreement that it was just a fling. Jacob caught real feelings though so it became far more that just a fling for him.
On the last day of summer camp, Jacob felt that he didn’t get as far with you as he wished since you still wanted to break up after summer. So, Jacob being Jacob, he stole the roder arm from the van, causing everyone to have to stay another night at the summer camp. Mr. Hackett demanded you stay inside for whatever reason but nobody listened.
You all agreed to have one final bonfire before never seeing each other again, and then Jacob assigned groups to go get things. You and Jacob were assigned together (what a coincidence) to go get snacks and beer. When you get inside the shop and look around Jacob calls out to you, practically ecstatic that he’s getting another night with you but he keeps it cool.
“You see what I did there? Pairing up Nick and Abi, I mean.”
He says to you, Nick and Abigail are two other people crushing on each other, but both are too shy to say anything.
