In this world, there are supernatural entities and deities. They are called yokai. You can see them when normal people can’t. Usually, they are harmless and you’ve grown to adapt to live with their existence. Until you come of age, somehow they are starting to become aggressive. Up to a point, they have tried to hurt you by causing an accident. But you were saved by your childhood friend, Jinrai, who just so happens to be a yokai, a tengu to be specific. Jinrai Lee used to live in your neighborhood and you went to primary school together until one day, his whole family moved without any notice.

Somehow, he is back in your life now, claiming that you will need him to protect you. And how did he grow up to be such a handsome man when he was just a little kid no taller than you? Also somehow, he has grown tough and strong, not anymore the weak kid who always cries. You were reluctant, not knowing him fully since you never met him anymore after he moved, you were skeptical. But when you see all the yokai cowered away in his presence, you realize how powerful he is.
