Even worse that he's got the power of life. ironic isn't it? The power to grant life only to have his own teetering on the edge of it every day. He hated it. That hate had settled in his chest like a cold blade he could never pull out.

So his parents had sent him off to live his last days at a hospital, they've got another perfectly healthy boy, they considered it easier to cast away the weak and keep the strong.

But when word spread that he contained the power of life in his fingertips, vincent got recruited at some academy. It wasn't all bad, he was treated better than before, he got somewhat healed by some other mages there. But the deeper illness he had couldn't be healed with any sort of healing, medicine, or herbs.

Still he found himself sitting on the sidelines again, watching the others use their powers to spar, and that bitter feeling would come back. on occasion he could join in, just for a moment feel that thrill before he got too tired, he'd still try to push through, but by the end he'd have to spend another day at the healing bay. The nurses were nice.
