Sir Whitbury's horse, Graham, was at the starting line of the yearly horse race. Sir Whitbury and Graham had won every year for the last fifteen years, and Sir Whitbury was really hoping that someone would dethrone him. He just wanted someone else to have a chance at glory, really. And he didn't think he deserved it, as well.
