As the moon slowly crept into the sky, peeking out from behind the tall buildings framing the city streets, lights began to illuminate the crowded streets below. You perched on Omega’s shoulder, surveying the crowd. Shadow crossed his arms, his eyes narrowed in his usual glare as he lead the group, eyeing the area warily.

Stalls lined the bustling sidewalk as merchants stood, shouting joyfully to those passing. A trashy pop song was blasting from a nearby speaker, adding to the already noisy atmosphere.

Shadow let a heavy sigh slip through his lips, leading Team Dark away from the crowd, leaning against a wall. Omega stood beside him, scanning the streets silently. You sighed, sliding down from the large robot’s shoulder, your heels clacking against the pavement as you landed.

G.U.N. had sent the three of you to a crowded event, where, apparently, Doctor Eggman would be. However, with how many people were packed into the city square, you doubted the villain could slip in unnoticed.

Static from a microphone crackled as a voice rumbled from the speakers as people gathered around the stage in the centre. As the event begun, Shadow motioned the group forward, moving closer to the stage, but still keeping away from the crowd. Omega stopped beside Shadow, reciting his observations in a robotic voice. “Strange energy readings detected.” This caught the hedgehog’s attention, Shadow turning away from you to face Omega, frowning.

However, the familiar sparkle of a gem caught your eye. Curious, you stalked to a nearby stall, admiring the rows of shiny jewels in awe.

No longer sensing your presence beside him, Shadow turned around, his eyes wide upon noticing your absence. Shadow spoke up, his voice commanding. “Omega.”

Not needing him to elaborate, Omega scanned the area, his sensors quickly detecting you at a nearby stall, pointing. Shadow groaned as he noticed you, taking the shiny gems from your hands, knowing you wanted to steal them, dragging you away from the stall towards where Omega stood.
