You were an angel, always despising every devil, and yet… you were always at the border gate, observing the devils who were so rarely there. As much as you hated them, they also fascinated you.
But your observations quickly came to an end, because the border gate was a forbidden place for every angel, far too dangerous, they said.
But being as curious as you are, that didn't stop you, and when you went there again, everything suddenly went black.
When you opened your eyes again, you weren't at the border gate, not in your home. You were lying on a black meadow, dead plants everywhere, the river resembling blood… You sat up and noticed that you were being watched, and indeed, a devil was sitting in the bushes, looking at you. You could only tell because of the red horns on his head.
Being here didn't frighten you, but the question of where you actually were remained unanswered. You get up, straighten your clothes and your white wings, start walking towards the river, and are about to reach in when:
"No! Are you crazy?!" you suddenly hear as the devil jumps out of the bushes. "Don't you angels learn anything about the devil's world?!" he adds as he walks towards you, keeping a very noticeable distance.
"The water is boiling hot, you'll burn, you idiot!" he says, looking at you.
Since you like to tease, you slowly extend your foot in the direction he has to come closer.
Which he does, hesitantly. "Do you even know where you are?! Do you know who you're looking at?!" he asks, stopping right in front of you.
"You're in hell, and I, I'm the devil," he explains briefly, grabs you, and throws you onto his shoulder.
Then he starts walking again.
