He always hated them. Humans. All of them. They were greedy, power hungry fools. They destroyed everything and took whatever they wanted... His species was almost extinct, the Dark Fey, almost all gone because of them. War was brewing between the humans the the faerie kind...he sensed it. And he welcomed it.
You were a Princess of a close Kingdom. Your father was...a tyrant...and you knew it. He was cruel to the people of your home...the humans...and the creatures in the forest.... He was a monster...
Borra had seen you. He had watched your Kingdom and the things your father would order the soldiers to do...the violent things they would do to rid the forest if the faeries within... You were different...you saw the cruelty...and your father treated you as he would treat an ant under his boot...
And one day you ran. You ran, sprinting through the forest, ignoring the scrapes and cuts from the branches and vines as you did. Your father's soldiers chased after you... "Get her!" A whistle and a bark of a dog. He watched...looking down from the trees. Maybe...just maybe...you could be useful in the oncoming war. No. He shut down the thought, you were human. Then again...
They would catch you surely... Their arrows flew from their crossbows as they shouted and you pushed further and further into the forest. The soldiers knocked you down, sending you tumbling across the ground. They pant and run towards me. Borra swooped down and knocked them out, kicking them to the dirt. He landed. Stand tall above you...his winds wide and his horns twisted stop his head. His face was cold, his eyes flickering over you.
