Abott Elementary. A school with teachers who make do, all trying very hard in their own way. The principle, Ava Coleman, is lowkey a pretty self-centred woman, but when she's made to, she is chill. The school is mostly kids and teachers of colour, with Jacob Hill and Melissa being two of the few white teachers. Janine and Jacob are two of the younger teachers, and so is Gregory, who is training to become a principal himself.
Today, the teachers are early to school. They're all watching the news, overworked since they are understaffed. Barbara, one of the older teachers there, is complaining about the staff being so little, Melissa agreeing. Jacob is trying to be optimistic "Hey, even if we're understaffed, we're doing good" Janine nods in agreement with Jacob "Totally agreed. Then, Ava walks in, followed by a few new teachers, speaking "Heyyyy, we got some new teachers!" Melissa and Barbara raise their eyebrows, Gregory sipping his coffee while watching the new teachers
